Z Hotels offer affordable compact luxury hotel accommodation in prime, central locations. But what is different about Z Hotels?
We have included below some Frequently Asked Questions to better manage your expectations of what we provide in advance of your booking. We hope that you find this useful and enjoy your stay with us.

How large is a Z bedroom and what is included?

Our smaller bedrooms start from 8 sq/m (85 sq/ft), while our typical bedrooms are 10-12 sq/m (110-130 sq/ft), around half the size of a traditional bedroom.

Each Z bedroom includes a bespoke hand crafted bed (see, fantastic in-room entertainment (Samsung HD flat TVs with full selection of Sky & BT Sports, Sky Movies), and ensuite shower room. There is storage under the bed for a small suitcase, hanging space for clothes and jackets, individual controlled air conditioning, complimentary toiletries and of course free Wi-Fi.
Please note that there are no phones, minibars or safes in the bedroom. For any valuables, please either take with you or ask reception if they are able to store safely for you during your stay.

We believe in providing you with all the luxuries you need for a one to two night stay, while ensuring you’re not paying for luxuries you don’t need.

All at an affordable price. And all in prime, central locations.

Do you have larger bedrooms that cater for a longer stay than one to two nights?

Z Hotels Gloucester Place includes two larger room formats: Z King and Z Junior Suite, ranging from 20-30 sq/m (210-320 sq/ft). Both of these room types include wardrobes, and in the case of the Junior Suite, additional seating areas.

Do any bedrooms include twin beds?

We have no twin bedrooms within any of the Z Hotels.

Do you have any bedrooms that cater for more than 2 people?

We have recently introduced Z Family bedrooms, which comprise bunk bed style accommodation with separate stairs accessing the top bed.
The beds are the same hand crafted beds from NaturalMat that we use in all other bedrooms. While there is still only one ensuite shower room in these rooms, there is a maximum occupancy of 4 guests and is ideally suited for families with young children.

Am I able to book cheaper elsewhere?

No. All bedrooms in all our hotels are sold at the same price, whether there are purchased on our website, or via other online hotel accommodation sites.

Do your room prices vary?

We adjust the room rates based on overall demand and seasonality. Generally speaking, the cheapest rates are available the more in advance you book.

Are there restaurants with Z Hotels?

Each of our hotels includes a small café providing continental breakfast buffet for guests, and salads and paninis throughout the day.

There are only a couple of differences across the group.
Guests booking Z CLUB bedrooms at Gloucester Place can enjoy a wider selection of drinks and snacks through the day, as well as afternoon tea and cocktails. All included within the room price.
Guest staying at Z City have direct access from the hotel to ZEST, a new healthy food offer providing a range of delicious breakfast items (including a variety of scrambled egg dishes from around the world) and lunch dishes (including seasonal hot dishes (eg Thai Green Chicken Curry), hot hash, lobster brioche, paninis). Breakfast from ZEST can be pre-purchased at the same time as the room booking.

Can I find great places to visit and restaurants to eat nearby?

Yes. All Z Hotels can be found in prime, central locations with a wealth of bars, restaurants and entertainment within just a few steps of the front door.

Are you planning to open more Z Hotels?

We have a number of new hotels planned, all of which will be highlighted on the website under “Coming Soon” in due course.

Do you have accessible (DDA compliant) rooms, and wheelchair access?

All Z Hotels have accessible (DDA compliant) bedrooms and wheelchair access, except for The Z Hotel Gloucester Place which does not have wheelchair access from the street due to the listed nature of the buildings.

Do you have cots for infants or roll-a-way beds available?

We have a limited number available. Please contact the hotel directly in advance of your booking for more information.

Do all bedrooms have windows?

We have a number of windowless bedrooms which we call Z Inside. Aside from the window, these bedrooms include the same features of a standard Z bedroom.
Our Z Inside bedrooms are always sold at a lower rate to the equivalent room type with a window.
To avoid any confusion when booking a room, if the room description includes the word “Inside” (eg Z Inside Double or Z Inside Queen), then there is no window in this room.

Do you have any bedrooms in the lower ground floor of your hotels?

Yes. With the exception of Liverpool, Glasgow and Soho, Z Hotels provide a number of bedrooms on the lower ground floor, all designed to the same high specification that you can expect from Z Hotels.

I have read that there is little privacy between the bedroom and the ensuite shower room. Is that correct?

The bedroom is separated from the shower room by way of a glass partition that is partly frosted to ensure an element of privacy.

Do you allow smoking in guest bedrooms?

All of our guest rooms and floors are non-smoking. Please note that e-cigs, and vapors also fall under our non-smoking policy.

When can I check-in and check-out?

Our standard check-in time is 3pm and standard check-out time is 11am. Please note that late checkout requests are based upon availability on the date of departure. Additional charges may apply.

What is Z Membership?

All returning guests can access the Members area to book hotel accommodation and access a 7.5% discount.
Please speak to a member of staff at the hotel during your stay and they will set up a Members account for you.

Will I be able to open my bedrooom window?

Some of our windows can be opened, but only slightly, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines

Do you have a concierge service?

Our receptions are open 24 hours for your convenience during your stay.

Do you have any meeting rooms in the hotel?

We do not have private meeting rooms in Z Hotels, but please feel free to use the Z Café which is open 24 hours.

Do you provide interconnecting rooms?

We do not have any interconnecting rooms. Rooms can be allocated close together on request (subject to availability)

Can I bring my pet to Z Hotels?

Unfortunately, with the exception of assistance dogs, we don't allow pets to stay at our hotels
